Men's clothing store, formal wear store, shoe store, clothing store, custom tailor, tuxedo shop, jeans shop, fashion Harry Rosen, one of Canada's most trusted and innovative retailers, opened his first store in 1954 after gaining experience in a men's clothing store and a clothing factory. These early experiences helped him understand the composition of clothing and, more importantly, about what men wanted to wear. After leading the company for 51 years, Harry stepped back from daily operations in 2005. Although he passed away in December 2023, his legacy continues at the company through his family's succession and the brand's ethos.
Harry Rosen began in Toronto’s Cabbagetown neighbourhood in 1954 when Harry and his brother Lou opened a small 500 sq. ft. made-to-measure menswear store. Harry’s vision was to create a specialty men’s store that exemplifies service, advice, quality, and individual style. Harry believed in dressing a man well from head to toe and was meticulous about the perfect fit.
