Hourly pay range: $29.46 to $36.50
Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day

About the Role
The Electronic Medical Records Coordinator will:
- Create and manage user accounts and groups to provide appropriate access.
- Build and test templates and forms, using best practices in user experience and design.
- Perform functional and user acceptance testing.
- Participate in the distribution of quality assurance reports and help identify opportunities for improvement and resolution.
- Manage access to Netcare.
- Manage and coordinate patient portal (Ocean).
- Field incoming requests for technical support over the phone, via email and in person.
- Document issue resolutions, analyze trends and identify opportunities for training or communications.
- Work with the software provider to troubleshoot escalated issues as appropriate.
- Schedule and deliver training sessions.
- Maintain, create and update training materials including slides, quick reference guides and flow charts to support staff training in and using the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in applied information systems technology, information science, business administration or related field
- Minimum of one year of experience administering information systems or as a business analyst.
- Experience with TELUS Med Access, Ocean and Netcare is an asset.
- Experience writing procedure.
- Experience with Adobe software.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong communication skills, with presenting and training experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Keen attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
Conditions of Employment
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
- Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) or Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments (SIVA) training, as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.
