We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and forward-thinking Administrative Assistant to fill a 3+ month role with the Government of Alberta located in Edmonton. This position involves running the daily functions of the office and supporting various departments with administration and coordination. Read On!
Responsibilities:
- Greeting visitors and answering phones.
- Type, format, and proofread correspondence documents.
- Manage calendars and coordinate meetings.
- Prepare and submit expense reports.
- Attend meetings and record minutes.
- Update databases and run reports.
- Support and organize company events, breakfast meetings, and charity initiatives.
- Manage office supplies, and order in food for meetings.
- Administrative support in the office as required.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in business administration or a related field would be well regarded
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines and work under pressure.
- Flexibility, willingness to help wherever is needed.
- Time management skills with a strong attention to details.
